Little Wishes

Akeem and his foster brother Dayshion are the perfect ages to enjoy everything Six Flags has to offer from the roller coasters to the awesome water slides in Hurricane Harbor. This Little Wish will give them and their foster parent admission, parking, and food at the park.

Eight year old Charlie loves to tumble and do tricks. She’s even taught herself how to flip using one hand!  Charlie is showing a lot of talent for gymnastics and would like to start taking lessons so she can get even better. She would love to be like Gabby Douglas someday!

Derrion’s 17th birthday wish is to celebrate by jumping on trampolines with his closest friends. He moved to a new home 6 months ago, and hasn’t had the opportunity to hang out with old friends. He’s constantly talking about how much he wants to introduce his new friends to his old ones, and a birthday celebration is the perfect reason!

Jamiah’s foster parent has planned a special trip for her and her foster siblings- a trip to Chicago! When she found out, Jamiah asked if she could have her birthday celebration at the Sugar Factory, known for its celebrity fans and Instagram-worthy treats. She’s watched the TikTok clips of restaurant staff bringing dessert out to the table with fiery candles while singing happy birthday and is sooo excited that she might be able to have that experience for herself. Granting this Little Wish would give Jamiah an unforgettable experience that will be the highlight of her summer!

As seen on KSDK’s A Place to Call Home, 14 year old Johnnie is a shy young man who loves animals, pepperoni pizza, and playing on his Xbox. He also likes to spend time outside, walking around the neighborhood or visiting a nearby park. His Little Wish is to get a 26 inch bicycle (with helmet) so he can venture even further and enjoy the outdoors to the fullest.

Melody is a 6 year old girl who is dreaming of a bedroom decorated for her – mermaid style! She’s picked out bedding, curtains, wall decals and more. Making this Little Wish come true will help Melody feel a sense of belonging in her foster home and give her a special place of her own.

Last year, Nani’s Little Wish was for cheerleading lessons, and she’s excited to request them again this year. It has given her a wonderful chance to make friends and she absolutely LOVES it! She even spends much of her free time watching cheerleading and dance videos. Granting this Little Wish can make Nani’s cheerleading dreams a reality.
